The Humane Society Veterinary Medical Alliance is proud to announce the recipients of its annual Compassionate Care Scholarships, awarded to veterinary students and veterinary technician students who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to animal welfare.
This year marks the second year HSVMA has provided five veterinary students with $10,000 scholarships each in recognition of their dedication to improving animal care and their impact on the veterinary community.
The 2024 scholarship recipients for veterinary students are:

In addition to the scholarships awarded to veterinary students, HSVMA is thrilled to introduce the inaugural Compassionate Care Scholarships for veterinary technician students. The recipients will receive a $5,000 scholarship to further their education and commitment to animal welfare.

Both scholarships honor students who not only exhibit a profound commitment to animal welfare but also foster equitable access and inclusion within veterinary medicine. HSVMA acknowledges that advancing animal welfare requires an inclusive approach, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences into the field. Therefore, their selection process was intentionally designed promote representation within the veterinary profession and expand access to veterinary care in underserved communities.
