A long-time advocate for animals and a Wisconsin resident for over 30 years, Megan Nicholson came to the Humane Society of the United States with a background in government relations. Her passion for the humane treatment of animals combined with her belief in the importance of a fair democratic process fuels her efforts to strengthen Wisconsin’s animal protection laws. She believes in the power of effective communication, educating the masses and bringing people together to make Wisconsin a better place for animals. Nicholson lived in various parts of the state before settling in Madison. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her four dogs and her slightly crazy, yet incredibly sweet, mare.
