David Grant has spent many years in public policy and advocacy, starting on Capitol Hill during the fight for the Affordable Care Act. After leaving Washington, Grant served as Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for many years in the New Jersey Legislature. During that time, he worked on a variety of animal welfare bills including the trophy hunting ban, expanding protections for victims of abuse and implementing a ban on cruel hunting traps. Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University and in his spare time, he likes to garden and line dance. His dog Dolly was named “after the greatest American, Dolly Parton.”
